Both teams have a bone to pick with the champions and now the opportunity is there as The Usos and The Revival challenge the Authors of Pain for RAW's silver straps in a Triple Threat Elimination Match during the Kick-Off Show.
At King of the Ring, AOP successfully unseated Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder as the RAW Tag Team Champions under the guidance of Paul Ellering. With the sudden disappearance of the "Evil Genius Behind The Book", Akam and Rezar has been on their own ever since.
On RAW Episode 55, after Jimmy Uso was cleared to compete after suffering a serious back injury thanks to Scott Dawson on Episode 50 of RAW, The Usos looked to take it to The Revival enroute to becoming No.1 Contenders. But that was not meant to be as the champions ran down to ringside and laid out both teams, causing the official to throw out the match.
