Braun Strowman def. Roman Reigns (King of the Ring Semi-Finals)
It was a rivalry renewed as "The Monster Among Men" battled "The Big Dog" with that pivotal final spot in the finals on the line and it came down to sheer guts, determination and who wants it more.
From bell to bell this was an extremely hard hitting contest with Strowman dominating 80% of the match. To the point where everyone thought it was going to be a squash but Reigns was not going down with a fight where multiple times he got the big man off his feet and nearly picked up the win. But it came down to a final spear that was turned into a Running Powerslam by Strowman that signaled the end of Reigns and the advancement of Braun Strowman.
After knocking off his longtime rival, Sheamus, "The Big Dog" Roman Reigns advanced in the King of the Ring Tournament and will now compete in the Semi-Finals against another one of his biggest rivals in the form of Braun Strowman.
On Smackdown Episode 50, "The Big Dog" Roman Reigns renewed his 2015 rivalry with one half of Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Sheamus and one spear later he advanced in the tournament despite a massive effort by "The Celtic Warrior". One week later, Reigns' other former rival in the form of Braun Strowman dominated Big Show in order to advance in the tournament and now the stage is set for this half of the Semi-Finals as "The Guy" battle "The Monster Among Men" with the winner advancing to the finals the same night.
